It makes me sad that my little baby is not such a baby anymore, but she is such a sweetie, so smart, and so funny, she makes every day a brighter day!
Here are a few pics from the weekend. The weather was beyond beautiful here on saturday. I was excited to get out some spring clothes and put all of those sweaters away for a few days. We may be getting them back out soon, but we are enjoying our warm weather right now.

"Daddy got a swimsuit?"
Here are some of the latest "funny" and "sweet" moments that have came out of Lily's mouth lately..I don't want to forget them..This girl keeps us laughing..Most of these have been directed at her daddy...
A couple of weeks ago, my mom told Lily not to bite her nails that she wanted them to be pretty like hers. Lily responded, "Poppy bites his."
I got BJ to rub my back a couple of weeks ago, and now Lily frequently tells him, "Daddy, I need a massage." He then has to rub her back and she lays so still and just loves it.
When she gets sleepy at night, she will look at me and say, "Mommy, is it nap time?" Off to bed, we go..
Last night, she was on a roll. As we were finished up eating at the table, BJ got a text from someone. Well, he responds to them, and as both me and Lily look at him being nosey as always, Lily asks, "Who do you text?" A classic statement from mommy..I'm teaching her good. Keeping daddy in line..
Finally, BJ bought some new tshirts yesterday to wear under his dress shirts. Well, they are sleeveless and well, we probably should have gotten 1 size bigger. He got one out and tried it on, Lily asks, "Daddy got a swimsuit?" Here's your sign, daddy, need a bigger size, lol..Got to love him though and love Lily!
They both keep me smiling!

Gone but Not Forgotten..Join us in memory...

One year ago this week, my husband's Aunt Janie was murdered in her kitchen. She was the sweetest lady, one who would do anything for you to help you out. She was fun and free spirited and everyone loved her...
Her murder still remains unsolved today. This is so hard for the family...to know that someone would kill her and then to still not know who it was that did this awful, awful thing..We live in such a small town where everyone knows everyone and all about them..we don't think that this kind of stuff can happen here but it did and that person is still walking around today somewhere.
So much prayer is needed for all of us..to understand this and deal with it every day, especially her daughter and grandchildren...
The Cooley family will be holding a Candlelight Vigil this Thursday night at the courthouse in town at 7 pm. Everyone is invited to join us and remember Aunt Janie and to let those out there that we haven't forgotten about her..
GOd helps us through this, but I don't know if we will completely understand who or why..just hope that she is in a better place now.

Strike a Pose!
I admire my friend, Teresa because she can sew. I have tried a couple of times and trust me, it is nothing that anyone would want. She does the best job ever and has made Lily the cutest outfits.
Since she knows that I love to take pics, especially of Lily, she made a cute lil romper for Lily to model for her etsy site, which can be accessed here.
By the time we got home yesterday, it was getting pretty dark, but we managed to get enough pics.
I was amazed at how well Lily posed for me. Here lately, she loves putting her hands on her hips and just smiling for the camera. You know, i am loving this, but for a while there, we had a fight every time i tried to take pics and usually i just follow her around and snap a ton of shots until i get the right one. Here are a few of the pics form yesterday. Excuse the kind of dark background...(Can't wait until daylight savings time in two weeks!)

Not Me! Monday
Wow! How quick a week flies by!
It's time for Not Me! Monday. I borrow this idea every week from MckMama and her wonderful blog, My Charming Kids. Check it out!
This past week was full of so many things I did not do or would never even think about doing.
On Monday, we were off work for President's Day, and I definitely did not stay until my pajamas along with BJ and Lily until 1 pm..That would have been outrageous.
I also did not spend all week already trying to find Lily an Easter dress online only to decide I may use one I have already bought. I never would spend hours searching for the perfect Easter dress. It's not like it will be so cold that she will cover the dress with a sweater anyways.
After endless hours of Play_Doh time, I did not buy Lily yet more Play-doh so that now we can spend hours and hours cutting out the ABC's and 123's..
Finally, I did not fall asleep with Lily last night way too early and completely not finish cleaning up the house. Not me!

Cooking with Lily
Last night, Lily helped her daddy make a chocolate eclair' dessert for our Relay for Life bake sale at work today.
My mom got her the cutest apron at dirt cheap, so I had to take lots of pics of her.
Enjoy!

Lots of Love and Beads..
Valentine's Day is always a fun occasion. I love fixing up all of the Valentine's goodies for Lily and her daycare and dance friends.
Lily celebrated all week actually. With her dance party on Monday to her Sunday School party on Sunday. My parents came to our house on Thursday night to give Lily her Valentine from them. She was more than overjoyed to get all of her gifts. My mom goes way overboard with her gift, but I guess that's what grandparents are for.
Here is a pic of Lily with her mawmaw and Poppy.
We gave Lily her Valentine from us on Friday night. Here is a pic of her inspecting it from top to bottom. She loved especially of the candy.
(Speaking of candy, I am working on trying to change up some of Lily's eating habits. I really don't like the amount of chips and candy that she eats and she has gotten so spoiled on this, but that's my goal for this week to come up with new much healthier snacks. Let me know if you have any ideas or what you feed your children for snacks that is healthy.)
On Saturday, we went to Mobile for Mardi Gras and visiting BJ's grandpa. We went to a cute puppy parade in Fairhope, then stayed for Mardi Gras that night.
Here is Lily at the end of the parade with all of her goodies. She had a great time!
Finally, a family pic...

Not Me! Monday (Lily's version)
I am been having a hard time thinking of embarassing things I did not do this past week, but as I am thinking I have decided to make this version of Not Me! Monday dedicated to things that Lily definitely did not do this week.
Last Monday, Lily did not eat 8 pieces of gum out of her maw-maw's purse while maw-maw was getting a haircut and didn't have her glasses on to see her. Not my princess angel. She would never eat that much gum at one time.
Later in the week, our precious angel who sleeps all night did not wake up at 4 am saying her pull-up was hurting her. Then, proceed to be changed 3 times until she was satisfied and comfortable. Not, Lily!
On Thursday night, Lily and I did not have a "candy fest" after she received her Valentine's present. Lily never eats too much candy especially never right before bedtime.
And finally, Lily did not wake up at 5 am again but this time insisting on her "Spiderman" she caught at Mardi Gras. She definitely did not talk her daddy into going outside to the car to get spiderman. Not, Lily!
Hope you have enjoyed Lily's list of things she didn't do this week!
Not Me! Monday is an idea created by McMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Happy Valentine's Day!

As with every holiday, we tend to forgot their real meanings. Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate the wonderful gift of "love." To show love and be able to love someone is a truly a special gift from God.
I am so thankful that I have been blessed with so many people to love and that love me.
I hope that each of you has a wonderful Valentine's Day and show everyone that you love exactly how much do!!

I feel so creative..
I have been seeing these cute layouts and banners, so I have been determined to figure out how to make my own.
It took me a while and a lot of practice, but I finally have created my blog a new look.
I think it looks more modern and the best part is that it is totally unique and created by me. (Well, I downloaded the digital scrapbooking kit but designed it the way I wanted my banner and background to look.
Let me know what you think!

Tea, anyone?
Last night at Lily's dance class, they had a Valentine's Tea Party. It was so cute. All of the girls including their teacher and her assistant dressed up in princess dresses, got their make-up done, did two dances and then had the cutest tea party. Mrs. Juna had little tables fixed up for them and she provided snacks and the girls swapped their Valentine's. It was precious.
Here are pics! Enjoy!

The princess.
Attempting a group shot...

Not Me! Monday
Welcome to Not Me! Monday for this week! As I told everyone last week, this blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
Now, let's see what I would never do..
My husband got "vacation fever." Well, I would never let him sign us up for a cruise in the fall without endless hours of research and itinerary planning by yours truly. I am not the slightest bit a control-freak/plan every detail kind of person, so this will not cause me to go into distress worrying about all of the small details that he probably never asked about.
Looks like we will be sailing in September!
Moving on, I did not get Lily's Valentine's pictures done before the month of February. That would be miraculous! I also did not go out and search for the perfect Valentine's Day shirt, and then did not get her all dressed up so cute to completely not even be able to see her outfit in the those perfect pictures! Not all of that trouble! Not me!
Last of all, I did not follow Lily's every step outside this weekend constantly snapping pictures because I was so excited about the beautiful weather.
Oops, guess here's proof.

Please, please leave comments to me. I know that people are reading my blog, but I never comments. Do you know how happy a comment makes me?

Make-Up Artist
I let Lily put her make-up yesterday while I was drying my hair. I looked down and she was just "beautiful." She was so proud of herself. What do you think? Future Make-Up Artist?
Have a great weekend, everyone!

25 Random Things..
There was neat idea on Facebook where everyone was posting "25 Random Things about Me" so I decided to do it and thought it would great to post on here.
Enjoy!
1. I am 26 years old.
2. I am mommy to a precious 2 year old named Lily - who I knew was always going to be a girl from the beginning, never a doubt.
3. I prayed for God to send me a good husband and he did - he sent the best one ever. I can remember knowing there was something about BJ before I even knew him in 9th grade, just took a while to get there.
4. BJ and I will be married 5 years in July.
5. I could eat McDonald's or Missisippi Fried every day.
6. I tend to talk way too much sometimes.
7. I am a major planner and like to have details layed out way in advance.
8. I am so bad about being a push-over, maybe too nice, I guess, but its hard for me to say no.
9. I am President of Jr. Auxiliary and as busy as it is, I have enjoyed it. I like helping people, wish I could do more.
10. My whole childhood I dreamed of a career that I haven't made it to, but I'm discovering, I am just as happy right now, not quite being there.
11. Along with BJ and Lily, I love my mom, dad, and brother unconditionally. I would do anything for them and am very defensive of them.
12. I have dealt with weight issues my whole life, and don't think it will ever end.
13. I am a celebrity gossip addict. I read People Magazine.com throughout the day everyday. BJ picks on me because I act like I actually know them.
14. I was not sick one day while I was pregnant and I still didn't like being pregnant.
15. I still miss my puppy, Gracie, every day.
16. I love to travel and vacation.
17. We want to go on a cruise this year.
18. When our house was first for sale, as soon as I stepped out of the car, I had a strange feeling and told BJ we would live there.
19. My favorite food is Ketchup.
20. I still hate leaving Lily at the babysitter every single time.
22. I would be a stay at home mom in a second!
23. I bite my fingernails.
24. I want to be a better Christian.
25. I llive a busy life, but I am genuinely happy. Somedays, I just thank God for all he has blessed me with.

Not me! Monday
Welcome to Not Me! Monday once again! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
This past week, I did not let my wonderful husband cook supper and clean up the kitchen almost every night while I spent quality time with Lily. This is something I would never do! Even if he volunteers, I would never let him! Not me!
I also did not eat something sweet after every meal, knowing that I was supposed to start a brand new diet at the beginning of the year which I am still waiting to start. Nope, not me!
I did not get in trouble with my precious daughter a couple nights ago for watching tv instead of paying attention to her. Lily never would say "Dont watch tv, mommy."
I don't like to watch those "Find the Perfect Wedding Dress" shows on TLC anyways..
And finally, yesterday, I definitely did not "play" with my new embroidery machine, while my still wonderful husband cooked lunch this time and Lily was napping. Nope! Not me!
I can't believe those thoughts would ever cross my mind..Outrageous, glad I never done those!

"Don't make me cry."
Just a funny story from this afternoon...
After we picked up Lily at her Nana's, I was attempting to wrestle her to get buckled in her car seat, she is quite resistant about this at times..always wanting to ride in mine or her daddy's lap, which has never happened, but as I hold her down pulling the straps across her to buckle her, she looks up at me and threatens "Don't make me cry."
This girl is something else. I did, however, make her cry and she was not happy with me, but we did get buckled in...
