It's been a while yet again since I have posted. We have been working in our yard and at home a lot in the past week.
First of all, for the past two weeks, we have been on a mission to find a new dining room table. We only have a small dining area, so we had the hardest time finding the perfect table. Our current table was glass-top with metal chairs. Lily has ran into it so many times not seeing the glass on the table, and it was really hard for her to sit there and eat comfortably in her booster seat since she doesn't like her high chair and refuses to sit in it.
We searched in 3 cities at every store possible. Our problems included everything from size, height of the tables (love the pub height, but too tall for our house), chair cushions, color of the wood, etc.. We also could not find a table that had matching bar stools. We finally found barstools at one store and a cherry table at another store that match perfectly. Everything was delivered yesterday and I love it! We have always had a round table but this square works great. I think the room is almost bigger! I will take pics tonight and post them tomorrow. We are changing our kitchen theme from grapes-wine theme to a Tuscan theme with oranges, reds, and greens. We found the perfect picture to center our theme around at Kirkland's and I found matching placemats at Trees N Trends, so I'm exciting about changing up. We also have new countertops ordered and they should be installed within the next month. Our current countertops are the originals and our house is 40 years old, so it's time for a change. We have been ready since we bought our house to change them.
I will be posting lots of before and after pics, too and sure to keep everyone updated!
(PS: I cannot write a blog without mentioning Lily. Her latest accomplishment for this week is an embarrassing one..When we picked her up last week from her babysitter, she kept poking me on my chest saying "Boobies." I almost died, but it was so funny. She is still doing it to my mom, me, her dad, and even herself. Not sure where she learned it, but my, my, what comes out of their mouths.)

I love you!
Lily has always talked since she was an infant, but she just keeps impressing us. In the past month, she has started using sentences. She says things such as "what you doing?" ,"where you going" and "need some." She also asks "what's that" about everything, especially in her books when we are reading at night. We have flashcards with pictures and words that we have been working with her on and she knows over 20 of those. We have been trying to get her to say "I love you" forever and yesterday she finally started saying it. My mom called me and said that she was saying it to her. I was so excited!
Here are some pictures from the weekend. We went shopping for furniture. We are looking for a new dining room table and barstools, but we didn't have luck so our search goes on.

Playing catch up and some home improvements..

Lily waiting on the concerts to begin.
This week has been busy, but not too bad. I am ready for the weekend, just to enjoy some time at home and work in our yard. I made a list last night of home improvements that I would like to do inside and ourside of our house. We are constantly doing new things/improvements but we have been slacking for a few months.
Right now, our kitchen is currently palmetto green and it has been for 4 years since we moved in. I think I am ready to change it to a red -like color. I am scared though because its a bold color but I think it would look good with our white cabinets. We are also wanting to paint our laundry room an olive green. BJ is really happy with me because he usually ends up doing all of the painting. haha..That is only a couple of things off of our list, but I guess I am finally getting spring fever!
